- List the rooms or outdoor areas you want to improve.
- Separate must-have changes from features that would be nice to add.

- Collect a few reference images and note which materials or details you like.
2. Describe the scope

4. Plan around daily life
- Explain whether you expect to stay at home during the work.
- Discuss access, pets, work-from-home routines and essential rooms.
- Identify any dates that matter to your household.
- Ask which decisions and material selections need to happen early.
