This Privacy Policy explains how Jacob Construction Inc. (“Astrid Lind by Jacob Construction”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and discloses personal information through astridlind.com (the “Site”), and describes the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA/CPRA”) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (“CalOPPA”).
What we are. Astrid Lind by Jacob Construction is the design studio of Jacob Construction Inc., a licensed California general contractor (CSLB License #1073757). The design consultation, the estimate and any construction work are provided by Jacob Construction Inc.
1. Categories of personal information we collect
We collect only what is needed to respond to a consultation request and to operate the Site.

We do not collect: Social Security numbers, driver’s licence numbers, financial account or payment card numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health information, or the contents of your email or messages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Sensitive personal information. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as that term is defined in Civil Code 1798.140(ae).
2. Why we collect it
- To contact you about the project you described, by phone, text message or email.
- To prepare your design consultation and estimate, and to perform and manage the work if you sign a contract with us.
- To understand how the Site is used, so we can improve it.
- To learn which ads and other sources bring enquiries, so we can decide where to advertise.
- To protect the contact form from automated abuse, so that genuine enquiries are not buried in spam.
- To keep records of enquiries and consent, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information for any purpose that is incompatible with the purposes above without telling you first.
3. Disclosure of personal information
We do not pass your form submission to other contractors. Your enquiry stays with Jacob Construction Inc. and is used to contact you about your project. The marketing team that operates this Site on our behalf receives your enquiry as our service provider, only to forward it to us and to run the Site.
We also use service providers who process personal information on our behalf and only on our instructions:

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, or to protect our rights.
4. Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in Civil Code 1798.140(ad) and (ah).
We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.
Advertising. We advertise on Google Search. We do not place Google Ads tags, conversion pixels or remarketing code on the Site, we do not link our analytics to Google Ads, and we do not send the information you submit to Google or any other advertising service. When you click one of our ads, Google adds a click identifier (gclid) to the link; if you then submit a form, that identifier is stored with your enquiry so we can tell that it came from an ad. We use it only for that purpose.
5. How long we keep it

6. Your rights as a California resident
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to:
- Know – request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
- Delete – request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to the exceptions in 1798.105(d).
- Correct – request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing – direct us not to sell or share your personal information. See our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information – we do not collect sensitive personal information, so this right does not apply to us.
- Non-discrimination – we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of these rights.
How to exercise them
Email info@astridlind.com or call (424) 256-5005.
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time we will tell you why, and we may take up to a further 45 days.
Verification. So that we do not disclose your information to someone else, we will ask you to confirm the phone number or email address you used when you contacted us, and to confirm details of the enquiry. We use the information you give us for verification only and delete it afterwards.
Authorised agents. You may use an authorised agent. We will ask for written permission signed by you, and we may ask you to verify your identity with us directly.
7. Your choices about tracking
Cookies and analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure Site usage. You can decline non-essential analytics through the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in our footer. If you decline, the analytics script is not loaded.
Global Privacy Control. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing, without any further action from you.
Do Not Track. As required by CalOPPA, we disclose the following: browsers may transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry standard for interpreting it, and the Site does not respond to DNT signals. We do honour GPC, as described above.
8. Calls and text messages
If you give your telephone number and tick the consent box on our form, you agree that we (Jacob Construction Inc., Astrid Lind by Jacob Construction) may contact you at that number, including by automated dialling system and pre-recorded or artificial voice message, and by SMS. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them, or ask us to remove your number by emailing info@astridlind.com.
9. Security
We use HTTPS across the whole Site, keep the platform and its components updated, and restrict administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Other disclosures
Third-party links. The Site links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; read their policies.
Notice of changes (CalOPPA 22575(b)(3)). If we make a material change to this policy we will post the revised policy here, update the “Last updated” date, and – where the change affects information already collected – give notice on the Site’s home page for at least 30 days.
Outside California. The Site is intended for property owners in California. If you contact us from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative.
